The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) is participating in GFF 2026 at Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC), Mumbai, showcasing its digital initiatives aimed at making pension access simpler, faster, more accessible and customer-centric.
As part of its participation, PFRDA has set up a dedicated booth at Jasmine, 3rd Floor, JWCC, where visitors and members of the financial services and fintech ecosystem can learn about PFRDA’s digital initiatives and engage directly with PFRDA officials.
The booth is highlighting key initiatives including Tatkal NPS, Star NPS and Pension Sahayak, which represent different dimensions of PFRDA’s evolving digital pension ecosystem.
Tatkal NPS seeks to simplify and accelerate the NPS onboarding journey through a seamless digital experience, enabling prospective subscribers to initiate their NPS journey in just a few clicks. The initiative leverages digital infrastructure to reduce complexity and make pension onboarding more convenient for citizens, succinctly captured in the campaign message: “NPS Ka Sapna, Ab Teen Click Mein Apna.”
Star NPS focuses on strengthening the technology-enabled assisted distribution ecosystem by empowering pension agents and intermediaries with digital tools, thereby combining the convenience of technology with the trust and guidance of human interaction.
Pension Sahayak represents PFRDA’s focus on strengthening the customer journey beyond onboarding, with an emphasis on service, engagement and a more responsive pension ecosystem.
The PFRDA booth is also serving as a platform for interaction with members of the financial services, fintech and pension fraternity. PFRDA officials are available at the booth to engage with participants, understand emerging opportunities and explore possible synergies and collaborations that can contribute to wider pension adoption and financial security.
PFRDA’s participation underscores the importance of building an ecosystem where technology can help citizens discover, access, understand and adopt NPS, while enabling a seamless journey from onboarding and contribution to long-term retirement planning.
The digital transformation of the pension ecosystem is not merely about opening accounts. The larger objective is to make retirement planning a mainstream financial habit and enable more citizens to start early, contribute regularly and build a meaningful retirement corpus.
Panel Discussion: “From Click to Corpus – Reimagining the Digital Pension Ecosystem”
As part of its participation at GFF 2026, PFRDA convened a panel discussion, moderated by Ms. Dimple Mittal, PFRDA, on:
“From Click to Corpus: Reimagining the Digital Pension Ecosystem”
The panel brought together leading perspectives from across the digital financial ecosystem:
- Shri Rajiv Kumar Gupta — PB Fintech Ltd.
- Shri Ketan Jantre — BSE Ltd.
- Shri Deep Agarwal — PhonePe
- Ms. Lalitha Nataraj — NPCI BHIM Services Ltd.
- Shri Paramendra Tiwary — PFRDA
The discussion brought together perspectives from across the digital financial ecosystem to examine how technology, digital infrastructure, platforms and distribution networks can collectively transform the NPS journey.
The conversation explored the evolution of the pension ecosystem across four stages:
Click → Contribution → Habit → Corpus
The panel examined how digital innovation can simplify pension access, how the reach of India’s digital ecosystem can be leveraged to scale NPS, and how the first digital interaction can ultimately translate into sustained retirement savings and a meaningful pension corpus.
The discussion also highlighted the need to look beyond account opening and focus on the larger objective of enabling citizens to start early, contribute regularly, remain engaged and build long-term retirement security.
PFRDA’s participation at GFF 2026 reinforces its commitment to collaboration, innovation and ecosystem-led growth in the pension sector, with the larger objective of building a digitally empowered pensioned society and contributing to a financially secure Viksit Bharat.
